John Goodman first became interested in videography and cinematography as a teen through his involvement in skateboarding. Back in his hometown of Winchester, Virginia, he would capture footage used to develop three full-length skateboarding videos. This experience ignited a passion for professional video production.
Years later, John relocated to Oceanside, CA, to begin his studies at MediaTech Institute- a distinguished private film school. John graduated valedictorian with a Digital Film and Video Arts Diploma in 2014. During the first month of classes, he was quick to pick up the Canon5D and shot a short 3-minute film that became Runner-Up in the 2014 Oceanside International Film Festival.
His expertise has been trusted on seminars, promotional films (most notably TEDx Kids), short films, commercials, local TV content, music videos, and various events. Although his main focus and passion revolves around “getting the shot”, his hands have been in all other aspects of production- from editing the non-profit Poseiden Foundation’s 2014 Oahu Tour to producing a commercial for Ty’s Burger House.
As of now, John continues to work in all facets of video production and continually takes on new challenges that enable him to hone his craft.
